Resumo: Cancer is characterized by the disorderly multiplication of cells, with a high incidence in the world - 18.1 million. Radiotherapy is a method used in more than 50% of cases, however, this means of treatment also promotes adverse effects, including radiodermatitis. Bearing in mind the nurse as a relevant component of the multidisciplinary health and professional team that accompanies the patient in all stages of the disease, this work aims to: describe nursing care in the prevention and treatment of dermatological conditions caused by radiotherapy in works published in Brazil between the years 2016 to 2022. The method used was the integrative review, using the Boolean “AND” in the databases GOOGLE ACADÊMICO, LILACS, SCIELO, using the keywords: Nursing, Radiotherapy, Skin. The result of this study allowed the analysis of 390 articles related to the theme, but 370 articles were excluded because they presented themselves as a foreign language, because they were not in the mentioned year, because they presented similar works, or because they did not meet the desires of the research. From the 20 articles, three contributions can be presented for writing the information: “Prevention and treatment of radiodermatitis, health education and self-care; pain management and patient safety”. The research corroborates the important role of nursing in the prevention and treatment of patients with radiodermatitis, in addition to other tactics that enhance health promotion and quality of life.

The research corroborates the important role of nursing in the prevention and treatment of patients with radiodermatitis, in addition to other tactics that enhance health promotion and quality of life.O câncer é caracterizado pela multiplicação desordenada de células, apresentando grande incidência no mundo - 18,1 milhões.
