Resumo: This article aims to show the impacts caused by remote classes to undergraduate students in the Chemistry Degree course at the State University of Alagoas - UNEAL, located in the city of Arapiraca - AL. This article discussed the current context of students in the Chemistry degree course at the aforementioned IES who, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, started to take classes remotely. The methodology adopted for the production of this article was a qualitative research, called a case study and a questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument, where we had the voluntary participation of the students of the course in question. It was observed that the students feel unmotivated, stressed and incapable, in addition to the glaring social inequality. Regarding the final considerations, it was clear from the data obtained that remote education can negatively influence and compromise the academic life of the students who participated in the research, since it was said by them that they had poor performance and learning.

En este artículo se abordó el contexto actual de los estudiantes de la carrera de Química de la mencionada IES que, debido a la pandemia de COVID-19, comenzaron a tomar clases de forma remota. La metodología adoptada para la elaboración de este artículo fue una investigación cualitativa, denominada estudio de caso y se utilizó un cuestionario como instrumento de recolección de datos, donde se contó con la participación voluntaria de los estudiantes del curso en cuestión. Se observó que los estudiantes se sienten desmotivados, estresados ​​e incapaces, además de la notoria desigualdad social. En cuanto a las consideraciones finales, se desprende de los datos obtenidos que la educación a distancia puede influir negativamente y comprometer la vida académica de los estudiantes que participaron en la investigación, ya que dijeron que tenían un bajo rendimiento y aprendizaje.RESUMO: Esse artigo tem como objetivo, evidenciar os impactos causados pelas aulas remotas aos graduandos do curso de Licenciatura em Química da Universidade Estadual de Alagoas – UNEAL, localizada na cidade de Arapiraca – AL, através de dados obtidos com a aplicação de um questionário virtual. O referido artigo discuti o contexto atual dos discentes do curso de licenciatura em Química da referida IES que devido a pandemia da COVID-19, passaram a ter aulas de forma remota. A metodologia adotada para produção desse artigo foi uma pesquisa qualitativa, denominada estudo de caso e foi utilizado um questionário como instrumento de coleta de dados, onde tivemos a participação voluntária dos discentes do curso em questão. Foi observado que os discentes se sentem desmotivados, estressados e incapazes, além da gritante desigualdade social. No que tange as considerações finais, ficou claro, pelos dados obtidos, que o ensino remoto pode influenciar e comprometer, negativamente, a vida acadêmica dos discentes que participaram da pesquisa, visto que, foi dito por eles que, obtiveram pouco desempenho e aprendizado.
