Resumo: ABSTRACT: Organisms like Collembola are indicators of soil quality and act as decomposers that promote litter fragmentation, improve soil structure and aeration. This work aimed to carry out the survey and identification of Collembola in an area with avocado cultivation. The collections were performed using Pitfall traps in an avocado growing area, from April to July. In total, six biweekly field collections were carried out and subsequently the samples were taken to the laboratory for counting and identification. Soil analyzes were carried out at the collection points. Pearson's correlation and the linear coefficient dispersion diagram were used for statistical analysis. There was a greater amount of Collembola collected from the Entomobryidae family in May, with 52.55% of the total captured; and low percentages in April, June and July with values of 3.6%, 6.24% and 8.35% respectively. Point 7 stood out with 229 collected collemboli and point 6 with 7 individuals, the lowest amount throughout the survey period. Based on the results of the chemical analysis of the soil, results of weak positive correlation were obtained for manganese, zinc with a weak negative relationship, followed by copper, also weak. And a moderate positive correlation for organic matter that stood out with the highest correlation, indicating a probable influence of organic matter in the presence of Collembola. KEYWORDS: Avocado, bioindicators, Entomobryidae.
