ORALITY AND THE PERPETUATION OF FUNERAL RITE:: THE EXCELLENCES OF THE DECEASED

Resumo: Funeral rites are ceremonies that exist in different cultures and at different times, burying the dead is a characteristic of the humanization process. The research article "Orality and the perpetuation of funeral rites: the excellences of the deceased" aims to identify how people who pray linked to Catholicism direct funeral rites in the District of Rajada, in the interior of the municipality of Petrolina, identifying if there is systematization and presence of the song of excellence. Data and information were acquired through semi-structured interviews and interviews/narratives according to the Oral History technique. The research revealed the existence of 14 4 excellences in this region.

El artícul o de investigación “La oralidad y la perpetuación de los ritos funerarios: las excelencias de los difuntos” tiene como objetivo identificar cómo las personas que rezan vinculadas al catolicismo dirigen los ritos funerarios en el Distrito de Rajada, en el interior del municipio de Petrolina, identificando si existe sistematización y presencia del canto de excelencia. Los datos y la información fueron adquiridos a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas y entrevistas/narrativas según la técnica de Historia Oral. La investigación reveló la existencia de 14 excelencias en esta región.Ritos fúnebres são cerimônias que existem em diversas culturas e nas mais distintas épocas, enterrar os mortos é um traço distintivo ligado à humanização do ser. O artigo de pesquisa "A oralidade e a perpetuação de ritos fúnebres: as excelências de defunto" tem como objetivo identificar como as rezadeiras ligadas ao catolicismo encaminham os ritos fúnebres no Distrito de Rajada, interior do município de Petrolina, identificando se há sistematização e presença do cântico de excelências. Os dados e informações foram adquiridos por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas e entrevistas/narrativas de acordo com a técnica da História Oral.
