The Imaginary of the Sertão in the proposal of coexistence with the Semiarid

Resumo: ABSTRACT: This article analyzes the imagery of the sertão in the political proposal of coexistence with the semiarid region and, more specifically, the ways of enunciating, establishing, speaking, and existing in the sertão as outlined in this discourse. The methodological framework consists of the proposal for conducting a predominantly qualitative study with a theoretical basis anchored in Discourse Analysis. The empirical framework reveals that the discourse of coexistence generates tensions and encourages new ways of speaking and visibility for the semiarid/sertão. Thus, it is enunciated as a discursive field endowed with creative power, causing ruptures in the homogenizing discourse that denies heterogeneity, potentialities, identity and symbolic diversity, and a multiplicity of ways of life that traverse the semiarid region.   KEYWORDS: imagery; sertão imagery; coexistence with the semiarid.

El marco metodológico se compone de la propuesta para llevar a cabo un estudio predominantemente cualitativo con una base teórica anclada en el Análisis del Discurso. El marco empírico revela que el discurso de la convivencia genera tensiones y fomenta nuevas formas de expresión y visibilidad para el semiárido/sertão. De esta manera, se enuncia como un campo discursivo dotado de poder creativo, causando rupturas en el discurso homogeneizador que niega la heterogeneidad, las potencialidades, la diversidad identitaria y simbólica y una multiplicidad de formas de vida que atraviesan la región semiárida.   PALABRAS CLAVE: imaginería; imaginería del sertón; convivencia con el semiárido.RESUMO: O presente artigo analisa o imaginário do sertão na proposta política da convivência com o semiárido e mais especificamente os modos de enunciar, instituir, dizer e existir do sertão explicitado nesse discurso. O marco metodológico é composto pela proposta de realização de um estudo com abordagem predominantemente qualitativa e com base teórica ancorada na Análise do Discurso. O arcabouço empírico revela que o discurso da convivência produz tensões e instiga novas dizibilidades e visibilidades para o semiárido/sertão.
