HILDA AGNES HÜBNER FLORES: HISTORY OF THE EDUCATION OF A DESCENDANT INTERIOR OF BOHEMIANS (1939-1955)

Resumo: The article examines the educational background of Hilda Agnes Hübner Flores – woman from the countryside, teacher, historian and descendant of bohemians – at the interface with the female educational context of the second quarter of the 20th century, in Linha Duvidosa, in Southern Brazil. The aim was to historically reconstruct Hilda Flores' biography with an emphasis on the analysis of her school career (1939-1955). Biographical research was conducted, theoretically supported on Cultural History and methodologically on Oral History, which used free interviews as a data collection instrument, intertwined with other sources. The analysis revealed that Hilda Flores had a differentiated education, because, in addition to attending primary education at a German-Brazilian Catholic school, she can continue her studies at religious boarding schools and graduate in Social Work. She broke sociocultural paradigms that relegated women to semi-illiteracy and domestic life.

Se objetivó reconstruir históricamente la biografía de Hilda Flores con énfasis en el análisis de su trayectoria escolar (1939-1955). Se desarrolló una investigación biográfica, sustentada teóricamente en la Historia Cultural y metodológicamente en la Historia Oral, que utilizó entrevistas libres como instrumento de recolección de datos, entrelazadas con otras fuentes. Los análisis revelaron que Hilda Flores tuvo una educación diferenciada, pues, además de cursar la educación primaria en un colegio católico germano-brasileño, pudo continuar sus estudios en internados religiosos y graduarse en Trabajo Social. Rompió paradigmas socioculturales que relegaban a las mujeres al semianalfabetismo y a la vida doméstica.O artigo trata da formação escolar de Hilda Agnes Hübner Flores – mulher interiorana, professora, historiadora e descendente de boêmios – na interface com o contexto educacional feminino do segundo quartel do século XX, em Linha Duvidosa, no Sul do Brasil. Objetivou-se reconstituir historicamente a biografia de Hilda Flores com ênfase na análise do seu percurso formativo nas escolas riograndenses (1939-1955). Desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa do tipo biográfica, amparada teoricamente na História Cultural e metodologicamente na História Oral, que utilizou entrevistas livres como instrumento de coleta de dados, entrecruzadas com outras fontes. As análises revelaram que Hilda Flores teve uma educação diferenciada, pois, além de cursar o ensino primário em escola teuto-brasileira católica, pôde dar continuidade aos estudos em internatos religiosos e graduar-se em Serviço Social.
