Oraliture and memory in the bahian quilombos

Resumo: This article analyzes the elements of oraliture that constitute the memory of bahian quilombola communities. Oraliture is an important source of research for the study of ancestral memory and plays a key role in affirming the identities of quilombo community. This cultural manifestation was recorded in a set of oral testimonies in documentary films produced about quilombola communities in the Identity Territories of the State of Bahia. Oral reports about the origins of communities and traditional festivals are related to practices of quilombola communities linked to the world of work or religious manifestations. The speeches recorded in documentary films are a privileged source for the study of identity foundations in different quilombola communities in Bahia. Quilombolas, as subjects of their own history, lived and thought their own existence. Their voices express experiences of constituting black territorialities and need to be amplified through academic research.

A oralitura é uma fonte de pesquisa importante para o estudo da memória ancestral e possui um papel fundamental na afirmação de identidades dos quilombos. Essa manifestação cultural foi registrada em um conjunto de depoimentos orais em filmes documentários produzidos sobre comunidades quilombolas nos Territórios de Identidade do Estado da Bahia. Os relatos orais sobre as origens das comunidades e das festas tradicionais  estão relacionados às práticas das comunidades quilombolas ligadas ao mundo do trabalho ou das manifestações religiosas. O filme documentário, enquanto fonte de pesquisa, apresenta a possibilidade de estudarmos as representações da realidade histórica contidas nas narrativas, ou seja perceber como se dá o processo de construção de discursos sobre o passado de determinado grupo social. As falas registradas nos filmes documentários são uma fonte privilegiada para o estudo dos fundamentos identitários em diferentes comunidades quilombolas do território baiano. Os quilombolas, como sujeitos de sua própria história, viveram e pensaram sua própria existência.
