Resumo: This article aims to reflect on the scope of the culture of war in the dimensions of the world of life and in the formative processes. Starting from a hermeneutic approach, at first, the study identifies through the horizon of Critical Theory the presence of the same rationality that guides the Enlightenment project and war and that converts into irrationality. We do this with reference to Adorno's text About Subject and Object. In a second moment, it recovers the central ideas of Adorno's text Education after Auschwitz which reveals the rationality of war, evaluates this state of civilizational regression, so that later, we can think about an Education in the service of life, an education for love. One of the conclusions of the study is that it is a very fruitful and current reading in the face of the permanent challenges of reinforcing and continuing the culture of war. Furthermore, it contributes to timely reflections on the meaning of education.

Partiendo de un enfoque hermenéutico, en un primer momento, el estudio identifica a través del horizonte de la Teoría Crítica la presencia de la misma racionalidad que orienta el proyecto ilustrado y la guerra y que se convierte en irracionalidad. Hacemos esto con referencia al texto de Adorno Sobre el sujeto y el objeto. En un segundo momento, se recuperan las ideas centrales del texto de Adorno La educación después de Auschwitz que revela la racionalidad de la guerra, evalúa este estado de regresión civilizatoria, para luego pensar en una Educación al servicio de la vida, una educación para el amor. Una de las conclusiones del estudio es que se trata de una lectura muy fructífera y actual frente a los desafíos permanentes de reforzar y continuar la cultura de guerra. Además, contribuye a reflexiones oportunas sobre el significado de la educación.Este artigo tem o objetivo de refletir sobre os alcances da cultura da guerra nas dimensões do mundo da vida e nos processos formativos. Partindo de uma abordagem hermenêutica, num primeiro momento, o estudo identifica pelo horizonte da Teoria Crítica a presença de uma mesma racionalidade que orienta o projeto iluminista e a guerra e que se converte em irracionalidade. Fazemos isso tendo por referência o texto de Adorno Sobre Sujeito e Objeto. Num segundo momento, recupera as ideias centrais do texto de Adorno Educação após Auschwitz que descortina a racionalidade da guerra, avalia esse estado de regressão civilizatória, para posteriormente, pensarmos uma Educação a serviço da vida, uma educação para o amor. Uma das conclusões do estudo é que se trata de uma leitura muito fecunda e atual frente aos desafios permanentes de reforço e continuidade da cultura da guerra.
