Resumo: The present paper carries out an analysis of the economic activity in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. Its main objective is to identify São Paulo’s industry territorial patterns, focusing on the activities which deals with more a more intense level of technology and knowledge. In order to do so, the paper adopts an economic activity classification that aggregate the activities, besides being manufacturing or services, by their level of technological and knowledge intensity.
