Resumo:  Reflete-se sobre os processos de desterritorialização e as novas vulnerabilidades em saúde na implantação da transposição do rio São Francisco, no povo Pipipã, semiárido, em Floresta, Pernambuco. A abordagem teórico-metodológica do trabalho foi a reprodução social e a saúde, formulada pelo epistemólogo Juan Samaja. Realizou-se um estudo analítico de caráter qualitativo, utilizaram-se entrevistas e observação participante. Os resultados evidenciaram um caráter desterritorializador produzido na implantação da transposição do rio São Francisco. Território cortado ao meio, aberto, destruído e transformado rapidamente, onde se conectaram com novas vulnerabilidades socioambientais, expressas como fragilização sociopolítica e cultural, negação de direitos territoriais e de saúde, potencialidade de conflitos por terra e água, violência em geral no povo Pipipã.
