The newscast as an act of presence

This article intends to discuss the plasticity of newscast, by showing how its techexpressive resources are articulated to establish effects of sense of presence. The newscast provides a pattern of experience in which the enunciator put to action in the enunciatee an affective, passionate and sensorial involvement, which touches at once its sensibility. Albeit the newscast semblance, in a first moment, to unveil the predominancy of cognitive and speech pragmatic dimensions, we will look for evidencing that newscast really captures the attention of the enunciatee for whom it is produced to, especially from the sensitive dimension of the sense. From this guide line, we consider the newscast as an act of presence, a speech which is offered to the ones it is produced to, despite the technological mediation, to be tasted and felt. For that, we will analyse some reports of the Jornal Nacional, newscast broadcasted by Rede Globo, showing which discoursive strategies it uses to make itself to be and feel present to the enunciatee.
