Resumo: | The rural sector has undergone profound changes and now we are following a revolution focused on sustainability and quality of life, caused by the emergence of digital agriculture, also known as Agriculture 4.0 or Smart farming. The technologies that are part of the digital agriculture as a whole cause a rupture with the standards, models and technologies already used. Staying competitive requires constant renovation. Therefore, the objective of this study was to discuss the tools that can be used in agriculture to improve the way of producing food. The scientific research and development combined with precision agriculture made possible the emergence of other innovations that made digital agriculture possible. These technologies can be applied indirectly outside the property, directly inside the property in the production process and continue to be used in the agricultural product distribution market. Even if slowly, due to little connection infrastructure, technical and economic capacity for the adoption of innovative technologies, the use of these technologies will be more and more frequent. Therefore, the adoption of disruptive technologies is a path of no return, since, in addition to adding value to production, they provide more environmental, social and economic sustainability to agrifood systems. |

Las tecnologías que forman parte del conjunto de la agricultura digital provocan una ruptura con los estándares, modelos y tecnologías ya establecidos. Mantenerse competitivo requiere una renovación constante. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este trabajo fue abordar las herramientas que se pueden utilizar en el sector agrícola para mejorar la forma de producir alimentos. La investigación y el desarrollo científicos combinados con la agricultura de precisión hicieron posible la aparición de otras innovaciones que impulsaron la agricultura digital. Estas tecnologías se pueden aplicar indirectamente fuera de la propiedad, directamente dentro de la propiedad en el proceso de producción y continuar utilizándose en el mercado de distribución de productos agrícolas. Entre las tecnologías disruptivas que los productores pueden utilizar en las granjas, podemos destacar el uso de cultivares mejorados, telemetría, drones, biodefensivos y plataformas digitales. Aunque sea lento, debido a la poca infraestructura de conexión, capacidad técnica y económica para la adopción de tecnologías innovadoras, el uso de estas tecnologías será cada vez más frecuente porque ellas proporcionan una mayor producción de alimentos, tanto en cantidad como en calidad. Por lo tanto, la adopción de tecnologías disruptivas es un camino sin retorno, ya que, además de agregar valor a la producción, brindan más sostenibilidad ambiental, social y económica a los sistemas agroalimentarios.O setor rural já passou por profundas modificações e agora estamos acompanhando uma revolução focada na sustentabilidade e na qualidade de vida, provocada pelo surgimento da agricultura digital, também conhecida como Agricultura 4.0 ou Smart Farming. As tecnologias que fazem parte do conjunto da agricultura digital provocam uma ruptura com os padrões, modelos e tecnologias já estabelecidos. Manter-se competitivo exige renovação constante. Por isso, o objetivo deste trabalho foi abordar as ferramentas que podem ser utilizadas no setor agrícola para aperfeiçoar a forma de produzir alimentos. A pesquisa e o desenvolvimento científico, aliados a agricultura de precisão, possibilitaram o surgimento de outras inovações que tornaram possível a agricultura digital. Essas tecnologias podem ser aplicadas de forma indireta fora da propriedade, de forma direta dentro da propriedade no processo produtivo e seguem sendo utilizadas no mercado de distribuição dos produtos agrícolas. Mesmo que de forma lenta, devido a pouca infraestrutura de conexão, capacidade técnica e econômica para a adoção das tecnologias inovadoras, o uso dessas tecnologias será cada vez mais frequente.
