Resumo: The hydroponic cultivation of lettuce presents a great versatility and ways of use. There are several forms of cultivation, however, the NFT (Nutrient Film Technique: Laminar Flow Technique) is the main system used, in which seedlings are transplanted to complete their development. The quality of seedlings is essential for hydroponic cultivation, as it ensures plant homogeneity, health and vigor. In this sense, the objective of this research was to test the germination of two lettuce cultivars in coconut fiber and to propose a system for the production of lettuce seedlings in a low-cost germination table automated with Arduino. For that, curly lettuce cultivars Rafaela and Moana were used. In the production of seedlings, the nutritional formulation proposed by Furlani (1998) was used. The automation system was developed with Arduino Uno R3 and the germination table for irrigation by capillary rise. From the results obtained, it was found to be feasible to use the automation system with Arduino Uno in the production of lettuce seedlings in a low-cost germination table with irrigation by capillary rise.

Existen varias formas de cultivo, sin embargo, el principal sistema utilizado es el NFT (Nutrient Film Technique: Laminar Flow Technique), en el que se trasplantan las plántulas para completar su desarrollo. La calidad de las plántulas es fundamental para el cultivo hidropónico, ya que asegura la homogeneidad, la sanidad y el vigor de las plantas. En este sentido, el objetivo de esta investigación fue probar la germinación de dos cultivares de lechuga en fibra de coco y proponer un sistema para la producción de plántulas de lechuga en una mesa de germinación de bajo costo automatizada con Arduino. Para ello se utilizaron los cultivares de lechuga rizada Rafaela y Moana. En la producción de plántulas se utilizó la formulación nutricional propuesta por Furlani (1998). El sistema de automatización fue desarrollado con Arduino Uno R3 y la mesa de germinación para riego por ascensión capilar. A partir de los resultados obtenidos se comprobó que es factible utilizar el sistema de automatización con Arduino Uno en la producción de plántulas de lechuga en una mesa de germinación de bajo costo con riego por ascensión capilar.O cultivo hidropônico da alface, apresenta uma grande versatilidade e modos de utilização. Existem diversas formas de cultivo, porém, o NFT é o principal sistema utilizado, nele são transplantadas mudas para completarem seu desenvolvimento. A qualidade das mudas é essencial para o cultivo hidropônico, por garantir homogeneidade, sanidade e vigor das plantas. Nesse sentido, o objetivo dessa pesquisa foi testar a germinação de duas cultivares de alface em fibra de coco e propor um sistema de produção de mudas de alface em mesa de germinação de baixo custo automatizada com Arduino Uno R3. Para tanto, foram utilizadas as alfaces do tipo crespa cultivar Rafaela e Moana. Na produção de mudas foi empregada a formulação nutritiva proposta por Furlani (1998). O sistema de automação foi desenvolvido com Arduino e a mesa de germinação foi criada para irrigação por ascensão capilar.
