The relationship between co-creation/DART elements and Fair Trade certification in the cooperative context

Resumo: The purpose of this research was to empirically analyze whether the elements of value co-creation: Dialogue, Access, Risk and Transparency-DART, are related to Fair Trade certification and what benefits are generated from this relationship. The study was developed from the perspective of the performance of 151 extractive cooperative members. The object of study was the Cooperativa Agroextrativista Veneza do Marajó, which has been Fair Trade certified since 2014. To meet the proposed objective, field observation and survey were used. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and confirmatory factorial techniques. The results showed that DART is present in the studied cooperative, with Risk being the most representative variable. This result may be largely related to the fact that the açaí product comes from non-timber extraction, therefore, it is strongly dependent on the natural conditions of soil and favorable climate for its development. The achievement of the Fair Trade seal has become an alternative for extractives to increase the visibility of the product in the market and also an attractive business opportunity, since there is a market willing to pay a premium price for a differentiated organic product cultivated under the sustainable forest management of agrobiodiversity.

El estudio se desarrolló desde la perspectiva de las actividades de 151 miembros extractivistas. El objeto de estudio fue la Cooperativa Agroextratividade Veneza do Marajó, que cuenta con la certificación de Comercio Justo desde 2014. Para cumplir con el objetivo propuesto, se utilizó la observación de campo y el uso de una encuesta. Los datos cuantitativos se analizaron mediante estadística descriptiva y técnicas factoriales confirmatorias. Los resultados mostraron que el DART está presente en la cooperativa estudiada, siendo el Riesgo la variable más representativa. Este resultado puede estar en gran parte relacionado con el hecho de que el producto del açaí proviene de una extracción no maderable y, por lo tanto, depende fuertemente de las condiciones naturales de suelo y clima favorables para su desarrollo. Ganar el sello de Comercio Justo se ha convertido en una alternativa para que los extractivistas aumenten la visibilidad del producto en el mercado y también en una atractiva oportunidad de negocio, ya que existe un mercado dispuesto a pagar un precio premium por un producto orgánico diferenciado cultivado bajo el manejo forestal sustentable. de la agrobiodiversidad.A proposta dessa pesquisa foi analisar empiricamente se os elementos da cocriação de valor: Diálogo, Acesso, Risco e Transparência-DART, se relacionam com a certificação Fair Trade e quais os benefícios gerados dessa relação. O estudo foi desenvolvido a partir da perspectiva de atuação de 151 cooperados extrativistas. Objeto de estudo foi a Cooperativa Agroextrativista Veneza do Marajó, que é certificada Fair Trade desde 2014. Para atender ao objetivo proposto empregou-se observação de campo e utilização de survey. Os dados quantitativos foram analisados por meio de técnicas de estatística descritiva e fatorial confirmatória. Os resultados demonstraram que o DART se faz presente na cooperativa estudada, sendo o Risco a variável de maior representatividade. Esse resultado pode ter ampla relação com o fato de o produto açaí ser proveniente do extrativismo não madeireiro, por isso, fortemente dependente das condições naturais de solo e clima favoráveis para seu desenvolvimento.
