Context: Knowledge Management is the ability of organizations to create, capture, organize, improve, share and use their intellectual assets. For the implementation of these processes, it is necessary a favorable organizational culture. It is believed that Participatory Design could stimulate the flowering of this scenario. Objective: The key objective of this research is to present a systematic literature review that addresses Participatory Design in the field of Knowledge Management during the period of 2005-2020 to identify evidence of this relationship. Methodology: This systematic review was carried out following a five-step protocol based on Denyer and Tranfield (2009) and Pinto et al. (2017). Results: There is a relationship between Participatory Design and Knowledge Management in situations related to the participation of people in contexts where technology was present to support the creation of a product, a system or to arrive at an innovative solution. Conclusions: Participatory Design presents itself as an opportunity for the design of KM systems and to stimulate the realization of KM in a collaborative way in different sectors and contexts.
