Bibliometric analysis on institutional repositories and open access in the Capes Theses and Dissertations Catalog

Resumo: This study deals with the institutional repository as an auxiliary means of obtaining, organizing, disseminating, and managing scientific and academic information. The objective of this research is to present the scenario of theses and dissertations on institutional repositories and open access in the period from 2015 to 2021 in the Capes Theses and Dissertations Catalog. Classifica-se como pesquisa de natureza descritiva, com abordagem quali-quantitativa, utilizando o método bibliométrico. The results indicated 148 productions found in total, and the year 2020 had the highest incidence of publications in relation to the other years. The Brazilian region with the highest concentration was the Southeast. Furthermore, UFSCar was the educational institution that produced the most papers on the themes addressed. The Graduate Program in Information Science was the one that stood out the most in relation to the quantity of productions. It was identified that the research lines that obtained a more expressive production were Librarianship, Culture and Society and Technological Management and Sustainable Society. A total of 148 authors were accounted for, however, 138 supervisors were identified, among which 6 supervised two or more theses and dissertations. Finally, the relevance of bibliometric studies to understand the development of certain areas and themes is confirmed.

O objetivo desta pesquisa é apresentar o cenário das teses e dissertações sobre repositórios institucionais  e acesso aberto no período de 2015 a 2021 no Catálogo de Teses e Dissertações da Capes. Classifica-se como pesquisa  de natureza descritiva, com abordagem quali-quantitativa, utilizando o método bibliométrico. Os resultados indicaram 148 produções encontradas no total, sendo que o ano de 2020 foi o com maior incidência de publicações em relação aos anos restantes. A região brasileira que obteve maior concentração foi a Sudeste. Ademais, a instituição de ensino que mais produziu acerca das temáticas abordadas foi a UFSCar. O Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação foi o que mais se destacou em relação a quantidade de produções. Identificou-se que as linhas de pesquisa que obtiveram uma produção mais expressiva foram Biblioteconomia, Cultura e Sociedade  e Gestão Tecnológica e Sociedade Sustentável. Foram contabilizados 148 autores ao todo, no entanto, identificou-se 138 orientadores dentres os quais 6 orientaram duas ou mais teses e dissertações.
