Resumo: | This study aims to map and characterize through knowledge routes how is the evolution of scientific knowledge about coronavirus based on studies developed by researchers affiliated with research institutions in Brazil. The database was built from paper published in the Web of Science until 2021. A citation network was built and, through the SPLC algorithm, the knowledge routes were obtained. The results show the high concentration of publications after 2020, demonstrating the concern and commitment of researchers linked to Brazil in investigations on Covid-19 theme. The results also indicate that the priority areas are the medical area followed by social measures to contain the virus spread. It also pointed out two routes of knowledge with different characteristics, reinforcing the scope of knowledge related to the topic. Thus, this study contributes to the literature by presenting the evolution of scientific knowledge, reinforcing the quality and production capacity of researchers affiliated to Brazilian institutions. It also contributes by presenting the most researched topics and pointing out the profiles of the researchers. Finally, this study complements the current literature by ratifying the use of network analysis as a tool for the representation and investigation of knowledge, in addition to mapping and in-depth analysis of the evolution of knowledge. |

Faculdade de Filosofia e Ciências2022-07-03info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/bjis/article/view/1296210.36311/1981-1640.2022.v16.e02151Brazilian Journal of Information Science: Research Trends; Vol. 16 (2022): Continuous publication; e02151Brazilian Journal of Information Science: Research Trends; Vol. 16 (2022): Publicación continua; e02151Brazilian Journal of Information Science: research trends; v. 16 (2022): Publicação contínua; e021511981-1640reponame:Brazilian Journal of Information Scienceinstname:Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP)instacron:UNESPporhttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/bjis/article/view/12962/9215Copyright (c) 2022 Prof. Alex Fabianne, Breno Augusto Pinto Limahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessde Paulo, Alex FabianneLima, Breno Augusto Pinto2022-07-03T18:30:36Zoai:ojs.revistas.marilia.unesp.br:article/12962Revistahttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/bjis/indexPUBhttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/bjis/oaibrajis.marilia@unesp.br||1981-16401981-1640opendoar:2022-07-03T18:30:36Brazilian Journal of Information Science - Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP)false |
