Scientific dissemination enables the popularization of knowledge produced in the scientific community, promoting access to information. Added to this is the increase in the consumption of video and audio streaming services, a strategy that can help in the dissemination of Information Science. This study proposes a reflection on scientific dissemination through podcasts, observing the use of this tool, as well as its democratic and accessible character. It aims to map podcast channels on Spotify, which deal with Information Science and related topics (Library Science, Archival Science and Museology), at the national level, highlighting the advantages of using these channels and the content covered. It comprises research of a basic nature, with a qualitative approach, descriptive in terms of objectives, bibliographical and survey in terms of means. A total of 24 podcasts were retrieved, focused on Information Science, which deal with the labor market; information professional profile; social role of Information Science; social movements; contemporary trends; class movements and entities; pop and nerd culture; information literacy; personal and professional development; information units; pandemic and coronavirus. Finally, it highlights the adoption of podcasts as an important strategy for scientific dissemination in that area.
