Scientific Dissemination and Podcast: dissemination of scientific knowledge in Information Science

Resumo: | Scientific dissemination enables the popularization of knowledge produced in the scientific community, promoting access to information. Added to this is the increase in the consumption of video and audio streaming services, a strategy that can help in the dissemination of Information Science. This study proposes a reflection on scientific dissemination through podcasts, observing the use of this tool, as well as its democratic and accessible character. It aims to map podcast channels on Spotify, which deal with Information Science and related topics (Library Science, Archival Science and Museology), at the national level, highlighting the advantages of using these channels and the content covered. It comprises research of a basic nature, with a qualitative approach, descriptive in terms of objectives, bibliographical and survey in terms of means. A total of 24 podcasts were retrieved, focused on Information Science, which deal with the labor market; information professional profile; social role of Information Science; social movements; contemporary trends; class movements and entities; pop and nerd culture; information literacy; personal and professional development; information units; pandemic and coronavirus. Finally, it highlights the adoption of podcasts as an important strategy for scientific dissemination in that area. |

Soma-se a isso o aumento no consumo de serviços de streaming de vídeo e áudio, estratégia que pode auxiliar na divulgação da Ciência da Informação. Este estudo propõe uma reflexão a respeito da divulgação científica por meio de podcasts, observando o uso dessa ferramenta, bem como seu caráter democrático e acessível. Tem o objetivo de mapear canais de podcast no Spotify, que tratam da Ciência da Informação e tópicos relacionados (Biblioteconomia, Arquivologia e Museologia), em âmbito nacional, destacando as vantagens em utilizar-se destes canais e os conteúdos abordados. Compreende uma pesquisa de natureza básica, com abordagem qualitativa, descritiva quanto aos objetivos, bibliográfica e de levantamento quanto aos meios. Recuperou-se um total de 24 podcasts, voltados para a Ciência da Informação, que versam sobre mercado de trabalho; perfil do profissional da informação; papel social da Ciência da Informação; movimentos sociais; tendências contemporâneas; movimentos e entidades de classe; cultura pop e nerd; competência em informação; aperfeiçoamento pessoal e profissional; unidades de informação; pandemia e coronavírus.
