Resumo: The article proposes to expose the trajectory and political thinking of Amadeo Bordiga from the moment of the foundation of the Italian Communist Party until the moment it is surpassed by the divergent political theoretical position of Antonio Gramsci. Bordiga’s remarkable ability to aggregate an important contingent of the working class around an uncompromising doctrine amid the centrifugation process of Italian socialism was decisive for the very existence of the PCI. The lack of flexibility and adaptability of his convictions did not allow him to resist the brutal attack of fascism against the party and the political pressure of the Communist International to follow its general orientation. The survival of the Party depended on the removal of its founder from the leadership.

A capacidade notável de Bordiga agregar um contingente importante da classe operária em torno de uma doutrina intransigente em meio ao processo de centrifugação do socialismo italiano foi decisivo para a própria existência do PCI. A falta de flexibilidade e adaptabilidade de suas convicções não possibilitaram que pudesse resistir ao ataque brutal do fascismo contra o partido e à pressão política da Internacional Comunista para que seguisse sua orientação geral.
