City, urban space and its dynamics

The objective of this text is to present, in a specific perspective, how the Mercado Aberto stallholders who, inserted in the informality process, develop their activities in the Center of Goiânia, creating forms of interaction, or interpersonal contacts, in the public space. Specifically, here we will address the dynamics of urban space, marked by the subjectivity that confers a modality of organized disorder to the context of the Open Market. The intention is to understand how stallholders see themselves, and also how they are seen by shopkeepers, internal inspectors and residents surrounding the Mercado Aberto, based on research carried out during the master's degree between 2003 and 2005.
