Resumo: The work is the result of concerns about the existence or not of a Durkheimian sociology of crime. For this, it was covered, albeit briefly, its reception and interpretations in Brazil, in addition to the productions that start or somehow mobilize Durkheim's idea of normal-pathological crime. Where is crime in the author's work and how has criminology dealt with it? What are its consequences in Brazilian academic production? These are some of the questions that were pursued for the development of this work. The research identifies that there was a previous reading in Brazil that blocked the reception and possible mobilization of Durkheim's work in discussions related to crime. The lenses were given even before their translation and dissemination. If there is not a vast and established bibliography unraveling what would be a sociology of crime in Durkheim, perhaps it is because crime for Durkheim served as an example to show something else: as the best example of a morality, of collective values different from individual ones.

Faculdade de Filosofia e Ciências2022-12-23info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/aurora/article/view/1267310.36311/1982-8004.2022.v15.n2.p49-66Revista Aurora; v. 15 n. 2 (2022); 49-66Revista Aurora; Vol. 15 No. 2 (2022); 49-66Revista Aurora; Vol. 15 Núm. 2 (2022); 49-661982-80042177-0484reponame:Revista Aurora (Online)instname:Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)instacron:UNESPporhttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/aurora/article/view/12673/10446Copyright (c) 2022 Revista Aurorahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCorrêa, Maiara2024-04-02T22:48:04Zoai:ojs.revistas.marilia.unesp.br:article/12673Revistahttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/aurora/indexPUBhttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/aurora/oaiaurora.revista@gmail.com||1982-80041982-8004opendoar:2024-04-02T22:48:04Revista Aurora (Online) - Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)false
