The Dossier Section of this edition covers the theme: 'Culture, Identity and Memory'. In it we open with the article by author Valdeli Coelho Collares, entitled "The veil after 9/11: The identity and right of Islamic women”, dealing with important issues for the debate about Communitarianism and Universalism, which base the arguments on the human rights of these women, showing the contradictions and complexity of the problem. Then, the authors Carlos Alexandre Barros Trubiliano and Zeila Aparecida Pereira Dutra, contribute with the article "Some questions about Western rationality", which aims to make a brief reflection on the reason and the way it drives the dynamics of social relations in the West. The third work, authored by Camila Rodrigues da Silva, whose title is "(Re) reading of Police Inquiries: the memory of multiple female identities. The São Paulo Cities, society and culture decades 1920-40.", refers to the presentation of the results of a documentary research (Police Inquiry) of cases that contemplate gender relations in the district of Bauru. The article "The Process of colonization of Equatorial Africa according to the narratives of Catholic missionaries: Zambia, 1890-1990", by Jefferson Olivatto da Silva, closes the Dossier Section using historiographic ethnography to find the diacritical signs operating among the Bemba population in their contact with the missionaries. In Miscellaneous Section, we have the article by Cesar Augusto Alves da Silva entitled “The question of experience in Marx, Benjamin and Adorno and its implications” Presenting timely reflections on contemporary experience. Then, “Globalization of capital and precariousness of work: the regression capitalist”, by Newton Ferreira da Silva, presents us with a brief analysis of the precariousness of work, within the process of globalization of capital. The third work in this section is entitled “The dialectic of heroification: on how a minister and a magazine become national heroes”, written by Roberto Efrem Filho. Next, bringing up a very current topic, we have the article “Forms of income distribution in the international scenario: the economic development model of Scandinavian countries – the case of Norway from the 1930s to the mid-1980s” written by Marina Salomão de Freitas Assunção de Carvalho. The last work in this section is the important article “The foundations of classical liberalism: the relationship between State, law and democracy”. The discussion that permeates the analysis carried out by the author, Marcelo Lira Silva, focuses on the thesis that liberalism and democracy can be characterized as antithetical terms. Finally, in the Special Section, Revista Aurora brings the contribution of Professor Dr. Pedro Novelli (Unesp-Botucatu) the article “The Marginalization that privatization promotes”. Then Professor Dr. Anderson Deo presents us with the work “The meaning of the Brazilian Revolution”. This section ends with the collaboration of Professor Dr. Angélica Lovatto (Unesp-Marília). Concluding the work, we present the review made by Inês Cristina dos Santos, of the book by Professor Dra Angélica Lovatto entitled “The nationalist utopia of Hélio Jaguaribe: The times of ISEB”.
