From import substitution to Brazilian power: conceptions of development 1964-1979

Resumo: The present article is a brief study about the tortuous path of the brazilian development in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Thought them may be remembered by the economic “miracle” years, this period was mark by a persistent route correction by the brazilian government. Behind the high rate growth, there was a variety of development projects during those years, which do not allow treat the period as a whole. From the 1964 coup to the end of Geisel’s government is possible to realize the dynamism of this process.

O presente artigo é um breve estudo sobre a tortuosa trajetória do desenvolvimento brasileiro nas décadas de 1960 e 1970. Embora sejam lembrados como os anos do “milagre” econômico, esse período foi marcado por uma constante correção de rota pelo governo brasileiro. Por trás dos elevados índices de crescimento econômico, houve uma variedade de projetos de desenvolvimento durante esses anos, que não permitem que se trate do período militar como se fosse homogêneo.
