THE SILENT FORCE OF THE CHARACTERS JOANA CAROLINA AND TERESA, BETWEEN NEEDLES AND JASMINS, IN THE NARRATIVES OF OSMAN LINS

It is known that the scale is known as a symbol of justice, of prudence, of balance because its function corresponds to the weighing of acts. Thus, like the characters Joana Carolina, from the narrativeRetábulo de Santa Joana Carolina and Teresa, from the novel O fiel e a pedra, both from the writer Osman Lins, there are strong constructions of the silent force with strong decision power amid the traditionalism of the sertão. Therefore, the present work proposes a reading of the mentioned Osmanian characters, based on the conjunctures and the way of thinking and feeling the world that surrounds them through demonstrations of forces that can be read through the regard that reflects the experience. In the time and space of Joana and Teresa are exposed their pains: invisible, visible, trespassable, hard, enemy that transform breakouts of anger in ethical attitudes.
