Resumo: The work had its breaks, which under a multidisciplinary look evidenced the existing inequalities. Breaking paradigms, the countries approached care policies putting into practice the care diamond where the State, civil society, families and companies go through the complexity of articulating care. In Paraguay, the time use survey made it possible to visualize the burden of unpaid work for men and women. The general objective was to estimate the effect of unpaid care work on the income of Paraguay in 2016. To do this, based on official data, scenarios for the formalization of care work were estimated based on assumptions of opportunity costs, capital human acquired and decent work. Thus, proposals were also made to formalize the care offer from the perspective of home caregivers, with a community approach. The results reflected that if at least 60% of the inactive population was employed, the Gross Domestic Product in 2016 could increase by 1.5%. Formalization requires expansion of the care supply, with alliances between sectors. It is concluded that formalization can contribute to the valuation of the typically feminized and poorly paid service.

Faculdade de Filosofia e Ciências2023-11-13info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/orgdemo/article/view/1535910.36311/1519-0110.2023.v24.e023016ORG & DEMO; v. 24 (2023): Fluxo Contínuo; e023016ORG & DEMO; Vol. 24 (2023): Continuous Flow; e023016ORG & DEMO; Vol. 24 (2023): Flujo Continuo; e0230162238-57031519-0110reponame:Org & Demo (Online)instname:Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)instacron:UNESPspahttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/orgdemo/article/view/15359/15451Copyright (c) 2023 ORG & DEMOhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBÁEZ, Marcela Fernanda Achinelli2023-11-13T17:36:35Zoai:ojs.revistas.marilia.unesp.br:article/15359Revistahttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/orgdemoPUBhttps://revistas.marilia.unesp.br/index.php/orgdemo/oaiorgdemo.marilia@unesp.br2238-57031519-0110opendoar:2023-11-13T17:36:35Org & Demo (Online) - Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP)false
