Contributions of the KVP model to Environmental Education in schools

Resumo: With the growing importance of Environmental Education these days, studies focusing on the dissemination of environmental practices have increasingly being carried out with the purpose of reimagining the relationship between man and nature and minimizing future environmental damage. The school, as place that is also responsible for the students’ formation as responsible citizens, is a space with great potential for developing those types of activities. As a part of a larger master's research, this article aims to discuss the implications regarding the insertion of Environmental Education in school, such as advantages, obstacles and possibilities in class. It also aims to socialize the data found in the literature in line with the KVP model, which addresses the importance of the interrelationship between knowledge (K), values ​​(V) and social practices (P) for human beings to form their conceptions about something, in order to guide teachers and researchers when preparing their classes. Regarding possible future studies, we also hope to contribute to the expansion of this area of ​​study with guidelines drawn up based on the synthesis of discussions.

La escuela, como espacio que también es responsable de la formación ciudadana de los alumnos, es un entorno con gran potencial para trabajar con determinadas actividades. Como parte de una gran investigación de maestría, este artículo buscó discutir las relaciones que implican la inserción de la Educación Ambiental en el ámbito escolar, como ventajas, obstáculos y posibilidades de trabajo. También se buscó socializar los datos encontrados en la literatura en línea con el modelo KVP, que aborda el papel de la interrelación entre conocimientos (K), valores (V) y prácticas sociales (P) para que los seres humanos sean capaces de formar sus concepciones sobre algo, con el fin de orientar a docentes e investigadores en la preparación de sus clases. Con relación a posibles estudios futuros, buscamos contribuir a la ampliación de esta área de estudio con lineamientos elaborados a partir de la síntesis de las discusiones.Frente à crescente importância da Educação Ambiental no contexto atual, cada vez mais estudos com foco na difusão de práticas ambientais vêm sendo realizados com o propósito de repensar a relação homem-natureza e minimizar futuros desgastes ambientais. A escola, por se tratar de um ambiente que também é responsável pela formação cidadã dos alunos, é um espaço com grande potencial para se trabalhar com determinadas atividades. Se tratando de um recorte de uma pesquisa de mestrado maior, o presente artigo buscou discutir as relações que envolvem a inserção da Educação Ambiental no ambiente escolar, como vantagens, obstáculos e possibilidades de trabalho. Além disso, buscou-se, também, socializar os dados encontrados na literatura em consonância com o modelo KVP, que aborda o papel da interrelação entre conhecimentos (K), valores (V) e práticas sociais (P) para que o ser humano seja capaz de formar suas concepções sobre algo, a fim de orientar professores e pesquisadores no momento de elaboração de suas aulas.
