Resumo: This work has the objective of articulating oral testimonies obtained at the 10th History Week (1988), promoted by the History Department of the School of Sciences and Languages of Assis, and the memoirs of Guarino Fernandes, in order to present a parallel between the conjunctural development of the Brazilian Union organization and the Sorocabana Railway Union struggle, between the years 1930 to 1964. The testimonies, available at the Documentation and Research Support Center (CEDAP) in Assis, show life experiences on the railway, as well as memories of the union struggle. The purpose of the work was to investigate an aspect of the union dimension from oral depositions, which carries life experiences that can bring a new contribution to the historical debate.

Os depoimentos, disponíveis no Centro de Documentação e Apoio à Pesquisa (CEDAP) de Assis, manifestam experiências de vida na ferrovia, além de lembranças da luta sindical.
