TAHANIC PROBLEM OF LOBATO: LITERATURE IN THE TEACHING OF MATHEMATICS

Resumo: In the article the authors brought about studies of Literature in the Mathematics teaching. The literary texts Aritmética da Emília and O homem que Calculava are configured as historical documents, and then the analysis of this study is based on the intertextuality between these different documents in the attempt to highlight their similarities. Through the data found in the similarities between these texts and based on the experiences lived in the use of literary texts in the classroom, the study aims to show the importance of the use of Literature in the Mathematics teaching .This study noted how the quotation of MalbaTahan by Lobato was given in the book Aritmética da Emília and how this quote resembles the stories in the book O homem que Calculava. Thus, it is important to introduce these texts in the teacher education, so that the teacher education has contact with the literature and this helps in the creation of habits of reading, research and familiarity with the production of mathematical activities involving texts literary, providing possibilities of composing with Mathematics and texts.

A través de losdatos encontrados enlas similitudes entre esos textos y con base enlasexperiencias vivenciadas enel uso de textos literariosenel aula, elestudio objetiva mostrar laimportancia de lautilización de la Literatura enlaenseñanza de Matemáticas. El estudioobservócómo se diola cita de Malba Tahan por parte de Lobato enel libro Aritmética da Emília y cómoesa cita se asemeja a lashistoriasdel libro O homem que Calculava.Así, se hace importante laintroducción de estos textos enlaformación de profesores, a fin de que elprofesorenformacióntenga contacto conla literatura y eso auxilie enlacreación de hábitos de lectura, investigación y lafamiliaridadconlaproducción de actividades matemáticas envolviendolos textos literarios, proporcionando posibilidades de componerconla Matemática y los textos.No artigo os autores trouxeram estudos acerca da Literatura no ensino de Matemática. Os textos literários Aritmética da Emília (1942) e O Homem que Calculava (1938) se configuram como documentos históricos, e então a análise desse estudo fundamenta-se na intertextualidade entre esses diferentes documentos, na tentativa de evidenciar suas similaridades. Através dos dados encontrados nas similaridades entre esses textos e com base nas experiências vivenciadas no uso de textos literários em sala de aula o estudo objetiva mostrar a importância da utilização da Literatura no ensino de Matemática.
