All self-knowledge depend on others: Mikhail Bakhtinand Boaventura Santos in dialogue

This article brings part of the results of a bibliographic research to comprehend the construction of an epistemology that emerges with the narrative research methodology of the teaching practice carried out by the teachers themselves in relation to the students in school contexts, through theoretical-methodological and interpretative-narrative reflection-refraction. The work is based on Boaventura Santos highlighting his comprehensive and generalizing social vision, and on Mikhail Bakhtin, about his interindividual discursive interaction between singular consciousnesses. In the text we will reveal and unveil how the two authors help us to think of the act of narrating and narratives as another way of seeing and doing science (heteroscience), contrasting the dominant paradigms with aspects of their biographies, which allowed us to conclude that the main condition of existence of the social is fulfilled when individuals relate and form among themselves, and then, a hetero(auto)science.
