The folding of space in Medo da eternidade (1970), by Clarice Lispector: from the banal to the sacred

Resumo: In this text, we pursue, in Medo da eternidade, a short chronicle by Clarice Lispector published in 1970, the geography established by the central personage in the relationship with herself from a digression on the way to school, when something crosses her: the fear of eternity. In this itinerary, we search for a reading of the space by the character traversed, in a scene in which, apparently not very geographical, a possible relationship with the geographic space is established, by reorganizing the concept beyond materiality, touched by the lines of flight of the character's thought. Based on our experience of reading enjoyment, through Carlo Ginzburg's reading of the world with his evidential paradigm, which guides us in the search for evidences in the narrated scene and also through the perspective of experience in Walter Benjamin, which invites us to pay attention to what touches us, passes us and modifies us, we understand the tale as a folding of space beyond the material that is transformed into creation, reorganizes the banal and escapes into infinite life. In it, Clarice offers us a possibility of reading the world from an abundant geographical notion, in which the experience of what transforms us matters more than the hardness of the eternity of the known and which asks: what is this space we live in?

En este itinerario, bajo una lectura del espacio recorrido por el personaje en una escena aparentemente poco geográfica, se establece una posible relación con el espacio geográfico, reorganizando el concepto más allá de la materialidad, tocado por las líneas de escape del pensamiento del personaje. Con base en nuestra experiencia de lectura de disfrute, a través de la lectura de mundo de Carlo Ginzburg con su paradigma indiciario, que nos orienta en la búsqueda de evidencias en la escena narrada y también bajo la perspectiva de la experiencia en Walter Benjamin, que invítanos a prestar atención a lo que nos toca, nos traspasa y nos cambia, entendemos la crónica como un pliegue del espacio más allá de la materia que se vuelve en creación, reorganiza lo banal y se escapa a la vida infinita. Clarice nos ofrece la posibilidad de leer el mundo desde una abundante noción geográfica, en la que importa más la experiencia de lo que nos transforma que la dureza de la eternidad de lo conocido y que indaga: ¿qué espacio es este en que vivimos?Nesta escrita, buscamos compreender, em Medo da eternidade, crônica de Clarice Lispector publicada em 1970, a geografia estabelecida pela personagem central na relação consigo própria a partir de uma divagação no percurso até a escola, quando algo lhe atravessa: o medo da eternidade. Nesse itinerário, sob uma leitura do espaço percorrido pela personagem em uma cena aparentemente pouco geográfica, uma relação possível com o espaço geográfico se estabelece ao reorganizar o conceito para além da materialidade, tocado pelas linhas de fuga do pensamento da personagem. Com base em nossa experiência de leitura de fruição, pela leitura de mundo de Carlo Ginzburg com seu paradigma indiciário, que nos orienta para a busca pelos indícios na cena narrada, e também pela perspectiva de experiência em Walter Benjamin, que nos convida à atenção ao que nos toca, passa-nos e nos modifica, entendemos a crônica como uma dobra do espaço para além do material que se transforma em criação, reorganiza o banal e escapa para a vida infinita.
