eoi/doi Deposit-Electronic Object Identifier   http://eoi.citefactor.org/10.11248/ehum.v14i1.3285Comparative analysis of the challenges arising from the Covid-19 pandemic faced by university students and a group of professionals from a cooperativeof recyclable material collectors.Resumo: As reflexões contidas no presente trabalho apresentam uma interlocução entre as disciplinas de Língua Portuguesa e Ciências da Natureza, as quais abordam, entre outros elementos, a comunicação e o uso da tecnologia. As autoras realizaram uma pesquisa estruturada, aplicada em dois grupos de pessoas, com perfis de atividades distintas, ambos assistidos pelos trabalhos acadêmicos respectivamente nas etapas de ensino e extensão, no curso de Pedagogia da Faculdade de Educação, da Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais, Campus Belo Horizonte. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de uma amostragem intencional, sem intenções probabilísticas, com a finalidade de contextualizar os efeitos de ordem emocional, social e econômica causados pelo isolamento social para os integrantes dos grupos em questão. Apesar da aparente distinção de características quanto aos projetos de vida, entre os indivíduos dos grupos pesquisados, estudantes e catadores de materiais recicláveis, foram identificados pontos de convergência em determinadas respostas obtidas pela pesquisa, entre os quais destacamos: para os catadores foi necessário desenvolver técnicas de trabalho, para adaptar suas atividades às restrições ocorridas na coleta seletiva dos materiais. Quanto aos discentes e ao processo de aprendizagem, após o início do isolamento social, a realização das tarefas acadêmicas tornou imprescindível a interlocução entre o indivíduo e os recursos do ambiente virtual de aprendizagem, utilizado durante a modalidade do ensino remoto emergencial. A pesquisa revelou a predominância de indivíduos autodeclarados negros e pardos nos dois grupos, ultrapassando o percentual de 64% em ambos, sendo esse contingente maior entre os estudantes. Heteroidentificação.Abstract: The reflections in the present paper present a dialogue between the disciplines of Portuguese Language and Natural Sciences, addressing, among other elements, communication and the use of technology. The authors conducted a structured research, applied in two groups of people with different activity profiles, both assisted by academic works in the teaching and extension stages, respectively, in the Pedagogy program of the Faculty of Education, of the Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte Campus. The research was conducted through an intentional sampling, without probabilistic intentions, to contextualize the emotional, social, and economic effects caused by social isolation for the members of the groups in question. Despite the apparent distinction of characteristics regarding life projects among individuals of the groups surveyed, students and recyclable material collectors, converging points were identified in certain responses obtained by the research For collectors, it was necessary to develop techniques to adapt their activities to the restrictions in the selective collection of materials. As for the students and the learning process, after the beginning of social isolation, the accomplishment of academic tasks made essential the dialog between the individual and the resources of the virtual learning environment used during the emergency remote teaching modality. The research revealed the predominance of self-declared black and brown individuals in both groups, exceeding the percentage of 64% in both, with this contingent being higher among students.Keywords: Emergency Remote Education.
