Resumo: The present work aims to conduct a study on the influence of patriarchy on contemporary Brazilian democracy, regard to the 2016 coup, bringing to the discussion topics such as misogyny, sexism, conservatism and intolerance. Thus, it is intended to take a complementary approach, from the social point of view to the political and economic perspective that Dilma Rousseff's dismission occurred due to the dissatisfactions of Brazilian elitist groups. For this, a research was carried out based on the inductive method, of basic nature, with a qualitative approach, being exploratory as to the achievement of the objectives and bibliographic as to the technical procedures. Among the results obtained, it is worth mentioning that Brazilian democracy is, in fact, presented as a segregationist system, that is still influenced by patriarchal values, which are as current as they were during the colonial period, not being mere vestiges.

Centro Universitário Autônomo do Brasil2023-12-20info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistaeletronicardfd.unibrasil.com.br/index.php/rdfd/article/view/227010.25192/issn.1982-0496.rdfd v28i32270Revista Direitos Fundamentais & Democracia; v. 28 n. 3 (2023): Revista Direitos Fundamentais & Democracia; 252-267Revista Direitos Fundamentais & Democracia; Vol. 28 No. 3 (2023): Fundamental Rights & Democracy Journal; 252-2671982-0496reponame:Revista Direitos Fundamentais e Democraciainstname:Centro Universitário Autônomo do Brasil (UniBrasil)instacron:UNIBRASILporhttps://revistaeletronicardfd.unibrasil.com.br/index.php/rdfd/article/view/2270/799Copyright (c) 2023 Sara Alves Magalhães, Martonio Martonio Mont'Alverne Barreto Limahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAlves Magalhães, SaraMartonio Mont'Alverne Barreto Lima, Martonio2023-12-20T17:36:01Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/2270Revistahttp://revistaeletronicardfd.unibrasil.com.br/index.php/rdfdONGhttps://revistaeletronicardfd.unibrasil.com.br/index.php/rdfd/oairevistadfd@unibrasil.com.br||ebgomes@me.com1982-04961982-0496opendoar:2023-12-20T17:36:01Revista Direitos Fundamentais e Democracia - Centro Universitário Autônomo do Brasil (UniBrasil)false
