(The (in)equality of gender in a discursive perspective)

The discourses about women go through the times, regularizing certain meanings that materialize in social practices. In view of the role of memory in the regularization of these sayings / senses about the feminine, we propose a reflection on the sayings that materialize in anti-feminist movements, especially in its first phase, taking as its theoretical-analytical basis the assumptions of Discourse Analysis. (Pêcheux). To this end, we propose a brief reflection on the feminist movement led by the so-called suffragists, and then an analysis of two anti-feminist pamphlets of the time. From this perspective, we seek to better understand the way these sayings work in the regularization of a memory of saying about women nowadays.
