Resumo: This text intends to approach the issue of the industrial heritage preservation in Bahia, analysing more specifically the case of the Peninsula of Itapagipe. It begins by understanding the scenario of industrial heritage in the world and in Brazil and defining the field of industrial heritage, contextualizing, next, the scenario of Bahia. In the end, the case of the industrial architectural heritage of the Itapagipe Peninsula is approached, understanding the current situation of the buildings and the preservation of these specimens, relating it to the context of Bahia.
