Resumo: | The paper shows a study about a sophisticated house for the hinterland of São Paulo State standard in 1880, even if it was compared with the rural or urban contemporaneous houses, built on stilts or rammed earth. Stones were used only at the building blocks. Mansions were not common. Sometimes the utilization of the sloping ground was an option. The attic would have been an innovation in the region. The conclusion is that the house brings infuences from the urban houses of mining area from Southern Bahia State. And these houses bring strong traces of the architecture left by the portugueses in the Brazilian Coast, much for its construction techniques, but for its external and internal configuration too. |
