Memory of the urban: the New Railway Station of Campina Grande [PB] from the reports of ex-railway

Resumo: Throughout our lives we accumulate memories that are shared by other individuals that make or were part of the same social group that we belong and can witness what we live, because they shared with us that moment. In many cases, places of the city have the function of keeping the memory of our group, because it is in these places that we live our stories. But what happens when this symbol of our memory is a historical patrimony that is abandoned? It is based on this relationship of sharing between memory, patrimony and individual that guided our study. The objective is to produce a scientific article that resume the memories of railwaymen who worked at the New Railway Station of Campina Grande-PB, in order to help us to awaken interest in this actually abandoned space and promote its appreciation.

Em muitos casos, lugares da cidade têm a função de guardar a memória do nosso grupo, pois são nesses locais que vivemos nossas histórias. Mas o que acontece quando esse símbolo da nossa memória é um patrimônio que está abandonado? É com base nessa relação de compartilhamento entre memória, patrimônio e indivíduo que norteamos nosso estudo.
