The relevance of natural water heritage in soil subdivision’s processes

Water is an essential element for life. However, the industrial development and the urban growing havecaused the concentration of considerable amounts of garbage causing the degradation of rivers and their springs. This predatory process of urbanization is even more concentrated in Latin America. Whathappens, in fact, is the consolidation of illegal occupations in areas of environmental protection due the cost of their removal is impracticable. Actions must be taken to become more efficient the programs ofurbanization and the quality desired by the population, within recognized standards of sustainability.Should be integrated the processes of planning, deployment and conservation in the urbanization projects taking into consideration the conflicts and interests of the stakeholders, targeting the sustainability of watersheds. In this first phase of this research we have been done a survey of the processes of design, planning and implementing of urbanization projects, considering the actions, tools, symbols and conflicts within the watersheds. This work intends to propose actions and tools that will lead the process of urbanization of the land so that the conflicts within the watersheds can be managed aiming at the sustainable use of water resources.
