Pós-modernismo, pós-estruturalismo e nova história: a recusa da razão totalizante

O presente estudo visa focalizar, em traços essenciais, o empreendimento convergente de determinadas correntes de pensamento, no campo da filosofia, das ciências sociais e da história, no sentido de ocupação de um espaço hegemônico exc1udente, tendo como substrato comum a tendência ao irracionalismo e o abandono da categoria da totalidade na explicação da realidade histórico-social, Por outro lado, intenta este estudo desvendar o caráter ideológicopolítico de tal démarche, visto que, mediante a diluição das categorias fundamentais da práxis social inovadora, reforça a tendência sempre crescente de adesão ao status quo neoliberaLAbstract:The artic1e attempts to discuss the essential traits of a movement which is briging about the convergence of several currents in philosophy, social sciences and history, which have in common a tendency towards irrationalism and the abandon of the category of totality in the explanation of sociohistorical reality. The artic1ealso seeks to unveil the ideologico-political character of this démarche, since, through the dilution of the fundamental categories of an innovating social prexis, it strengthens an evergrowing acceptance ofthe neoliberal status quo.Keywords: Totality.
