Negotiations of didactical contract in the transition from natural language to algebraic language and equation solving on the 8th year of elementary school

Resumo: | This paper presents some results of a Master's thesis that aimed toexamine how a didactical contract is established in the relationship between teacherand students. This study focus on the 8th grade of Elementary School, when algebraknowledge is involved, especially regarding the transition from natural language toalgebraic language and solving equation. As our reference, we study the Frenchinfluence of Mathematics Didactics to analyze teaching and the phenomena thatemerge in this context, particularly the Didactic Contract. Results show that thedidactic contract examined in the transition from natural language to algebraiclanguage is not negotiated more effectively; therefore, the emphasis is on solvingequations, favoring the inverse operation. Teachers participating in the study believedthat the equation writing should follow the same order as written in natural language,and that the problem in natural language brings important keywords for resolution. |

Optamos pelo referencial da Didática da Matemática de influência francesa, particularmente o Contrato Didático. Os resultados apontam que, no contrato didático analisado, a passagem da linguagem natural para a linguagem algébrica não se dá a partir de uma negociação mais efetiva, pois a ênfase se põe na resolução da equação, privilegiando a operação inversa.
