The transformations of the factory space in S. Caetano do Sul-SP in the XXth century:: the case of I.R.F. Matarazzo

Resumo: This analysis looks at transformations of industrial space in the twentieth century tries to establish a link between the permanence and alternation of the factory forms, through their materialization in the relation time-space. It aims to analyse how the technical apparatus employed in the industry conformed urban spaces, and this apparatus, once overcome, leaves its inheritance in the closing of an industrial cycle, in the environmental and social impact, in underused or neglected urban areas. Through historical documentation, sought to analyse how the suppression, accumulation and superposition of factory works conform "rugosidades”, which according to the vision of Milton Santos, are manifested in the rivers Tamanduateí and Meninos, the tracks of the train, a religious building and industrial chimneys. These crystallizations of space-time presented in São Caetano do Sul (SP), suburb of São Paulo, are a potential reference for the transformation of urban space, the arrival of a new cycle, serving as a study for perception of movements and events that will surely come.

El objetivo es analizar cómo los aparatos técnicos empleados en la industria conformaron los espacios urbanos, y este aparato, una vez superado, deja su herencia en el cierre de un ciclo industrial, en el impacto ambiental y social, en áreas urbanas subutilizadas o abandonadas. A través de la documentación histórica, se busca analizar cómo la supresión, acumulación y superposición de las obras de fábrica se ajustan a las "rugosidades", que según la visión de Milton Santos, se manifiestan en los ríos Tamanduateí y Meninos, en la línea del tren, en un edificio religioso y en las chimeneas industriales. Estas cristalizaciones del espacio-tiempo se presentan en São Caetano do Sul (SP), suburbio de la ciudad de S. Paulo, como una referencia potencial para la transformación del espacio urbano, a la llegada de un nuevo ciclo, que sirve como un estudio para la percepción de Movimientos y acontecimientos que seguramente vendrán.Esta análise das transformações do espaço industrial, no século XX, trata de estabelecer um nexo entre a permanência e alternância das formas fabris, através da sua materialização na relação tempo-espaço. Objetiva-se analisar como o aparato técnico empregado na indústria conformou espaços urbanos e, este aparato, uma vez superado, deixa sua herança no encerramento de um ciclo industrial, no impacto ambiental e social, em áreas urbanas subutilizadas ou negligenciadas. Através de documentações históricas, busca-se analisar como a supressão, acumulação e superposição de trabalhos fabris conformam “rugosidades”, que segundo a visão de Milton Santos, manifestam-se nos rios Tamanduateí e dos Meninos, na linha do trem, em uma edificação religiosa e nas chaminés das indústrias. Estas cristalizações do tempo-espaço, apresentam-se em São Caetano do Sul (SP), suburbio da cidade de S.
