Resumo: | This work discusses about literary criticism in Rachel de Queiroz's novel The Fifteen published in the 1930, focusing on the drought of 1915. The literary work stands out as to the social aspect that originated it, the drought. The novel highlights the following situation: the drought and the consequences caused both for the Cowboy Chico Bento and his family as for Vicente and Conceição, a cultured girl from the capital. The narrative is a reference milestone in the authoress's literary life, since she was the first woman to occupy a chair at the Brazilian Academy of Letters, with this, the objective of this article is to analyze some points of criticism related to the work, presenting the relevance of this and the authoress in brazilian literature. This study uses, as approach, qualitative research; as to technique, bibliographic. To support this research, we examine the theorists: Monteiro (1977), Filho (1977), Moisés (1975), Cândido (2006), among others. |

Esta obra trata sobre la escritora de literatura brasileña Rachel de Queiroz y la crítica literaria relacionada con ella y la novela O Quinze, publicada en la década de 1930, evidenciando la sequía de 1915. En la obra literaria destaca la siguiente coyuntura: sequía; fenómeno natural; y, las consecuencias de esto, tanto para El Vaquero Chico Bento y su familia como para Vicente y Conceição, una chica culta de la capital. La narrativa O Quinze destacó a la autora en la literatura brasileña, dado que fue la primera mujer en unirse a la Academia Brasileña de Letras, com eso, nuestro objetivo es analizar algunos puntos de crítica con respecto a la obra, expresando el mérito de esta y del escritor en la literatura brasileña. Para ello, se utiliza como enfoque, la investigación cualitativa; en cuanto a la técnica, la bibliográfica. Para apoyar este estudio, nos asomamos a los teóricos: Monteiro (1977), Filho (1977), Moisés (1975), Cândido (2006), entre otros. Este trabalho versa sobre a exímia escritora da literatura brasileira, Rachel de Queiroz e a crítica literária relativa a ela e ao romance O Quinze, publicado na década de 30, evidenciando a seca de 1915. Na obra literária, destaca-se a seguinte conjuntura: a seca, fenômeno natural; e, as consequências desse, tanto para o Vaqueiro Chico Bento e sua família como para Vicente e Conceição, moça culta da capital. A narrativa O Quinze destacou a autora na literatura brasileira, dado que ela foi a primeira mulher a integrar a Academia Brasileira de Letras (ABL), com isso, objetivamos analisar alguns pontos da crítica no que tange à obra, expressando o mérito desta e da escritora na literatura brasileira. Para isso, utiliza-se como abordagem, a pesquisa qualitativa; quanto à técnica, a bibliográfica.
