The construction of reality in Pierre Bourdieu's relational perspective

Resumo: Talking about what “reality construction” is is a transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary theme involving different scientific approaches. This problem is present from philosophy (will and representation), through linguistics (language structuring reality / construction of social reality), psychoanalysis (principles of psychic reality), sociology (social construction of reality), anthropology (meaning of the cultural norm / forms of representation) and even theoretical physics (view of matter in relation to the object / position of the observer in space). However, as much as this debate in our field of social sciences is known from the sociology of knowledge (Berger and Luckmann), this work proposes a different approach from Pierre Bourdieu's relational perspective. This essay aims at a methodological systematization of the discussion about the construction of reality in Bourdieu's thinking, in addition to discussing about the social and scientific character that involves understanding what “reality” is and the possibilities of its representation, perception and decoding.

Este problema está presente desde la filosofía (voluntad y representación), pasando por la lingüística (lenguaje que estructura la realidad / construcción de la realidad social), el psicoanálisis (principios de la realidad psíquica), la sociología (construcción social de la realidad), la antropología (significado de la norma cultural / formas de representación) e incluso física teórica (visión de la materia en relación con el objeto / posición del observador en el espacio). Sin embargo, por mucho que este debate en nuestro campo de las ciencias sociales se conozca desde la sociología del conocimiento (Berger y Luckmann), este trabajo propone un enfoque diferente a la perspectiva relacional de Pierre Bourdieu. Este ensayo tiene como objetivo una sistematización metodológica de la discusión sobre la construcción de la realidad en el pensamiento de Bourdieu, además de discutir sobre el carácter social y científico que implica comprender qué es la “realidad” y las posibilidades de su representación, percepción y decodificación.Falar do que vem a ser a “construção da realidade” é um tema transdisciplinar e interdisciplinar envolvendo distintas abordagens cientificas. Esse problema estápresente desde a filosofia (vontade e representação), passando pela linguística (linguagemestruturando a realidade/construção da realidade social), a psicanálise (princípios darealidade psíquica), sociologia (construção social da realidade), antropologia (significaçãoda norma cultural/formas de representação) e até a física teórica (visão da matéria na relação com o objeto/ posição do observador no espaço). No entanto, por mais queesse debate no nosso campo das ciências sociais seja conhecido a partir da sociologia doconhecimento (Berger e Luckmann), este trabalho se propõe a uma abordagem diferentea partir da perspectiva relacional de Pierre Bourdieu.
