Resumo: Since the 19th century, Haitians have moved between different national and transnational spaces, notably in the Caribbean, North America, South America and Europe, traditionally in countries that make up the Haitian diaspora such as the United States, Canada, France , the Dominican Republic and Cuba. This is evidence that mobility is an ancient and structural phenomenon in the Haitian universe. However, starting in 2010, after the earthquake in Haiti, “a fourth great flow of Haitian international mobility” (JOSEPH, 2015a, 2017a and 2017b) started towards Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and above all , to Brazil.
