For a relational thought: Norbert Elias, Pierre Bourdieu and the subject / object relationship

Resumo: Based on a set of texts by Norbert Elias and Pierre Bourdieu, two of the most significant sociologists of our time, we focus on the form of relational thinking that underlies the work of these social scientists, and we show how this way of thinking implies a critique of substantialist and realistic forms of thought and that this criticism takes place from the questioning of subject / object relations. On the other hand, we show how important Elias and Bourdieu are to history as a scientific discipline in the process of sociological research.

On the other hand, we show how important Elias and Bourdieu are to history as a scientific discipline in the process of sociological research.A partir de un conjunto de textos de Norbert Elias y Pierre Bourdieu, dos de los sociólogos más significativos de nuestro tiempo, nos enfocamos en la forma de pensamiento relacional que subyace en el trabajo de estos científicos sociales, y mostramos cómo esta forma de pensar implica una crítica de formas de pensamiento sustancialistas y realistas y que esta crítica tiene lugar desde el cuestionamiento de las relaciones sujeto / objeto. Por otro lado, mostramos cuán importantes son Elias y Bourdieu para la historia como disciplina científica en el proceso de investigación sociológica.Com base em um conjunto de textos de Norbert Elias e Pierre Bourdieu, dois dos sociólogos mais significativos de nosso tempo, focalizamos a forma de pensamento relacional que está na base da obra desses cientistas sociais, e mostramos como essa forma de pensar implica uma crítica às formas de pensamento substancialista e realista e que esta crítica se realiza a partir do questionamento das relaçoes sujeito/objeto.
