Summary: The Amazon region has been in the centre of the international concern because it has been seen as an environmental salvation of the world. In Brazil, after the military governments, different strategic agendas appeared. However, the military concern is centred in the risk of internationalization of the region. So, this article intends to analyse the civil strategic agendas for the Amazon, showing the points in which there is proximity and differences. Methodologically, the first part of the research was the analysis of the main documents of the agendas, named: Agenda 21, the local agenda and the critical and nationalist agenda. It has also been read part of the existent bibliography about the Agenda 21 and the sustainable development. As a result, we could conclude that there is some differences in the proposals to the region.

A su vez, en Brasil, luego del fin de los gobiernos militares, con el advenimiento del Nuevo Orden Mundial y el avance de las políticas neoliberales, aparecen diferentes agendas estratégicas civiles para la Amazonía en el siglo XXI. Mientras tanto, las preocupaciones militares sobre la región se han centrado principalmente en el riesgo de su internacionalización. En este contexto, este trabajo busca analizar las agendas estratégicas civiles para la Amazonía, presentando así un cuadro de las convergencias y divergencias entre ellas. En términos metodológicos, en una primera etapa, la investigación consistió en el análisis de documentos de las principales agendas, denominados: Agenda 21, agenda local y agenda nacionalista crítica. También se leyó la bibliografía disponible sobre la Agenda 21 y algunos trabajos teóricos sobre el tema del desarrollo sostenible, escritos por representantes de la agenda crítica nacionalista y por las élites locales. Como resultado, se pudo inferir que existen divergencias en cuanto a las propuestas para la región amazónica, que van desde políticas ambientales de carácter global para la región hasta propuestas de la élite regional que apuntan al pleno desarrollo económico, pasando por una agenda nacionalista de izquierda. , que busca pasar de lo local a lo global.Vista como cenário da salvação ambiental do planeta, a Amazônia tem desper­tado o interesse internacional. Por sua vez, no Brasil, depois do fim dos governos mili­tares, com advento da Nova Ordem Mundial e o avanço das políticas neoliberais, sur­gem diferentes agendas estratégicas civis para a Amazônia no século XXI. Enquanto isso, as preocupações militares com a região centraram-se principalmente no risco de sua internacionalização. Neste quadro, este trabalho busca analisar as agendas estratégicas civis para a Amazônia, apresentando assim um quadro das convergências e divergências entre estas. Em termos metodológicos, numa primeira etapa, a pesquisa consistiu na análise de documentos das principais agendas, denominadas: Agenda 21, agenda local e agenda nacionalista critica. Efetuou-se também a leitura da bibliografia disponível sobre a Agenda 21 e de alguns trabalhos teóricos sobre a questão do desenvolvimento susten­tável, escritos de representantes da agenda nacionalista crítica e das elites locais.
