Resumo: The text visits the very beginning, the source of Pierre Sanchis’santhropology, that is, his doctoral thesis Arraial: la fête d’un peuple – les pèlerinagespopulaires au Portugal, defended in 1976 at Ve section da École Pratique des HautesÉtudes under the guidance of H. Desroche and J. Séguy. Free of hermeneuticdelimited methodicals, this modest bricolage exercise is only aimed at arranging thematerial as it is laid out throughout the thesis, trying to highlight some textualvestiges of what may be considered the matrix and the raison d’être of Pierre Sanchis’santhropology, which means: the search, from a dialogue reason and a dialecticalperspective, of the senses articulation.
