Visando dar conta desta reflexão, assumimos como referencial teórico-metodológico os pressupostos da perspectiva histórico-cultural do desenvolvimento, através das contribuições de Vigotski e de autores contemporâneos desta perspectiva. Vigotski ressalta que a natureza psíquica do homem é formada pelo conjunto de relações sociais convertidas em funções da personalidade e por isso reflete sobre a importância do meio para o desenvolvimento da criança. Smolka e Magiolino (2010) afirmam que "as funções psicológicas superiores são ao mesmo tempo intelectuais e afetivo-volitivas" (p.35), por conta disso não se pode estudar uma função psicológica (percepção, atenção, memória, linguagem, emoção, entre outras) de forma isolada, mas na conexão estabelecida entre elas. A partir deste pressuposto, realizamos o trabalho empírico através de um estudo de caso com duas crianças que estão em processo de aquisição da linguagem verbal, em uma creche municipal situada num município do interior de São Paulo. O estudo e as análises realizados levaram a considerações importantes sobre: as relações afetivas como constitutivas do meio tem um papel significativo no desenvolvimento da criança; a linguagem que afeta a criança nos seus modos de pensar e sentir; o papel da palavra na elaboração dos afetos, pois à medida que a criança conquista a linguagem verbal, ela organiza novas formas de expressar suas emoções; a construção do (des)interesse pela criança no contexto das relações afetivas; o aparecimento das manifestações das expressões emocionais pela criança e os significados atribuídos a cada uma delas pelos adultos e outras crianças; a relevância da mediação do professor para a (re)elaboração dos afetos e expressão das emoções; e, a partir deste processo de (trans)formação das emoções e afetos, o modo como a criança vai se constituindo enquanto sujeito em seu processo de desenvolvimento culturalAbstract: This research aimed to investigate the dimension of affection in the cultural de-velopment of the child, based on the analysis of the cultural and affective ambi-ence built in the relationships between the subjects that are part of a class of Early Childhood Education. In order to account for this reflection, we assume as a theoretical-methodological reference the assumptions of the historical-cultural perspective of development, through the contributions of Vygotsky and contem-porary authors of this perspective. Vigotski points out that the psychic nature of man is formed by the set of social relations converted into functions of the per-sonality and therefore reflects on the importance of the means for the develop-ment of the child. Smolka and Magiolino (2010) argue that "higher psychological functions are both intellectual and affective-volitional" (p.35), because of this we can not study a psychological function (perception, attention, memory, language, emotion, among others) in isolation, but in the connection established between them. From this assumption, we carried out the empirical work through a case study with two children who are in the process of verbal language acquisition, in a municipal nursery located in a municipality in the interior of São Paulo. The study and the analyzes carried out led to important considerations about: affec-tive relations as constitutive of the environment plays a significant role in the de-velopment of the child; the language that affects the child in his ways of thinking and feeling; the role of the word in the elaboration of affections, for as the child gains verbal language, it organizes new ways of expressing its emotions; the construction of (dis)interest in the child in the context of affective relationships; the appearance of the manifestations of emotional expressions by the child and the meanings attributed to each of them by adults and other children; the rele-vance of the teacher's mediation to the (re)elaboration of the affections and ex-pression of the emotions; and, from this process of (trans)formation of emotions and affections, the way in which the child is constituted as subject in its process of cultural developmentMestradoEducaçãoMestra em Educação[s.n.]Magiolino, Lavínia Lopes Salomão, 1977-Smolka, Ana Luiza BustamanteSilva, Daniele Nunes HenriqueUniversidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP).
