Sound tridimensionality for people with visual impairment: interaction in art and videogame

Resumo: This article presents some theoretical discussions that supports one of the designlab / UFSC’s researches being developed. The main objective is to investigate the construction of a sound device that facilitates the visually impaired localization and locomotion. It begins with the tridimensionality sound and its historical principles in the artistic vanguards, as well as some of its developments in contemporary art. The research relates to the target audience's social and multisensory development studies, with Vygostsky (1997) and (2002) and sound art experiments, from Luigi Russolo (1992) and (1996), John Cage (1985) and (2007) and R. Murray Schafer (1991) and (2001). Finally, this research introduces technical procedures for the prototype construction.

O objetivo principal é investigar a construção, de um dispositivo sonoro que facilite na localização e locomoção de deficientes visuais. Parte-se da tridimensionalidade sonora e de seus princípios históricos nas vanguardas artísticas, bem como, alguns seus desdobramentos na arte contemporânea. Na pesquisa são relacionados estudos a respeito do desenvolvimento social e multissensorial do público alvo, com Vygostsky (1997) e (2002) e experiências da arte sonora, a partir de Luigi Russolo (1992) e (1996), John Cage (1985) e (2007) e R. Murray Schafer (1991) e (2001).
