Resumo: | Our objective is to problematize the representations about the indigenous peoples of Mato Grosso do Sul that cross the discourse of the Open Letter - Against the genocide of the indigenous population. The Open Letter is a resource used by the Center for Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous Studies, of the Federal Institute of São Paulo, to denounce conflicts suffered by indigenous groups. The corpus of this research gathers representations about the indigenous, the indigenous self, hierarchical power, based on excerpts from the text. We base our gaze on the theoretical framework of Discourse Analysis of French Origin (ORLANDI, 2003; CORACINI, 2007), through the archaeogenealogical method (FOUCAULT, 2014; GREGOLIN, 2004) and from the discursive-deconstructive perspective (CORACINI, 2010). Brazilian indigenous peoples have gone through many excluded processes since the colonial period, but these marks are still found in today's society. |

Universidade Estadual de Campinas2020-11-30info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionTextoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/otherapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.sbu.unicamp.br/ojs/index.php/rua/article/view/866342710.20396/rua.v26i2.8663427RUA; Vol. 26 No. 2 (2020): nov; 631-652RUA; v. 26 n. 2 (2020): nov; 631-6522179-99111413-2109reponame:Rua (Campinas.
