Resumo: | Taking the theoretical and methodological support of the French Discourse Analysis (AD), the aim of this paper is to observe how, as speakers of the Portuguese language, a group of collectors of recyclable materials from Cruz Alta-RS relates to the language. It is believed that, when dealing with their relations with language, they will also be discussing their identity and, thus, will allow a reflection on their forms of subjectivation. In general, the discursive sequences analyzed have confirmed the idea that language acts as a divider that hierarchizes speakers, in a context in which linguistically disappeared people are doomed to processes of discrimination and marginalized positions in society. |

Universidade Estadual de Campinas2020-05-12info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionTextoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/otherapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.sbu.unicamp.br/ojs/index.php/rua/article/view/865956710.20396/rua.v26i1.8659567RUA; Vol. 26 No. 1 (2020): jun.RUA; v. 26 n. 1 (2020): jun.2179-99111413-2109reponame:Rua (Campinas.
